Bryan J. Waldman is a partner at Levin & Perconti and has dedicated his career to representing people in wrongful death and personal injury cases. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Bryan was a partner at one of Michigan’s premier personal injury law firms.

Bryan has extensive experience handling various types of personal injury claims, including semi-truck collisions, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, product liability, automobile negligence, premises liability and railroad cases (crossing liability, derailments and FELA). He has litigated cases in over 35 jurisdictions throughout Michigan and Illinois. A substantial portion of Bryan’s practice has been devoted to representing those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Over the years, Bryan has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar settlements for his clients, including a record medical negligence wrongful death verdict of $10.68 million. In his first Illinois trial, Bryan obtained a $1 million verdict for the family of a nursing home resident who exited a window at the nursing home and died from injuries related to his fall.

Bryan served as president of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association in 2003-2004. He has received an “AV” (highest) rating from the Martindale-Hubbell American Law Dictionary, indicating preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards. He has been named as a Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of plaintiff personal injury in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He also has been included in the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions of Best Lawyers in America® in the area of personal injury law. In May 2007, Bryan was appointed by the governor of Michigan to sit as a member of the state’s Civil Service Commission and elected chair of the commission in September 2007.

Bryan resides in Chicago with his wife, Evelyn, daughter Alexandra, and son Max. In his free time, he competes in triathlons and running events.
