Ryan L. Nolte joined Levin & Perconti as a litigation associate in August 2011. Prior to becoming an associate, he clerked at the firm. Ryan assists in a variety of complex personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, and product liability cases.

Ryan received his law degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in May 2011. In law school, Ryan was named to the Dean’s Honor List and was a member of the school’s Trial Team. He was a National Finalist and Regional Champion at the 2011 National Trial Competition, sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. He was also awarded the George A. Spiegelberg Award as the National Best Oral Advocate. At the Buffalo-Niagara Criminal/Civil Trial Competition, Ryan was a Finalist and awarded that competition’s Best Oral Advocate award as well.

In law school, Ryan clerked at a litigation firm focusing on white collar litigation, commercial litigation, civil rights litigation, national and international business affairs, and tort litigation. In the Summer of 2010, he clerked for the Cook County Public Defender’s office where he obtained a 7-11 license, allowing him to draft and argue motions and also try bench and jury trials.

Ryan graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008 where he majored in Philosophy and Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology. He currently volunteers as a guest lecturer at UIC and is an assistant coach of their nationally ranked undergraduate mock trial team.

Ryan grew up in Plainfield, IL and graduated from Plainfield Central High School where he was active in sports and academics. He now lives in Chicago and enjoys travel, snow and water skiing and golf.
