Anthony M. Sam joined Levin & Perconti as a litigation associate in August 2011 after graduating from The John Marshall Law School in May 2011. Since coming to Levin & Perconti, Anthony has assisted in a variety of personal injury and wrongful death cases. He is currently working on several complex nursing home lawsuits at various stages of litigation, including a nursing home pressure sore case, a nursing home medication error case and a nursing home fall case.

Prior to joining Levin & Perconti, Anthony was active in a variety of law school extracurricular activities. He served as the Presiding Barrister of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board and was a member of the Animal Law Society and the Black Law Students Association.

Anthony also participated and placed in several national trial competitions. He received 1st Place and was named National Champion in both 2010 and 2011 at the National Animal Law Closing Argument Competition at Harvard Law School. He was on the 1st Place National Championship Team at the November 2009 Buffalo-Niagara National Mock Trial Tournament, where he was also named Best Overall Advocate. Additionally, Anthony was a National Finalist at the 2011 National Moot Court Competition and was a 2nd Place Regional Finalist in the 2011 American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition.

Outside of the office, Anthony is involved in a number of professional and community organizations. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. He is on the Board of Advisors for Tabernacle Christian Academy on the south side of Chicago and is a member of the Tabernacle of God Church of God in Christ. Anthony is the Vice President of the Lewis University Young Alumni Board, and also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member of Lewis University’s Graduate School of Management.

Anthony graduated from Thornton Township High School and now lives in the West Chesterfield neighborhood of Chicago.
