Caroleann was born and raised on a small island, population 500, off the Northwest coast of Ireland. She qualified and practiced as a lawyer in Ireland from 2004 through 2008. In early 2008, during a visit to Chicago, Caroleann's personal and professional path changed dramatically, when she met her now Irish born Husband, in a little Irish bar on the NW side of the city.
Caroleann then emigrated to Chicago and was hired by a Chicago loop personal injury and workers compensation firm in 2008 and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually heading up their Personal Injury department. For more than 8 years, she represented labor and union workers and their families, in all types of work related accidents, including, construction site accidents, automobile accidents and premises liability claims.
Caroleann has a strong affinity for the working man and their families. Her father and three brothers worked all over the world as tunnel miners. Growing up, Caroleann directly experienced the devastating impact on a family when the primary breadwinner suffers a work injury. Married to a construction worker, she is always conscious of the impact an injury can have on a family.
Over her 12 years of practice, Caroleann has helped injured workers and their families navigate the choppy waters of a legal case. For her, the most rewarding part of her career is that she has been able to help people who are in very vulnerable situations. Caroleann says, "I tell my clients that they are not permitted to worry about their case their job is to heal and get better and my job is to worry about their case."
Levin & Perconti are confident that Caroleann will utilize and expand upon her previous experience with work related injuries, construction workers and their families. They are excited that she has joined their team and have no doubt that she will complement the firm's representation of families who find themselves impacted by medical negligence and nursing home abuse.
Caroleann is also a member of Chicago Irish Immigrant Support, a not-for-profit immigration and social services provider. The community served by this organization includes Irish immigrants and Irish Americans in 19 states as represented by the Chicago based Consulate General of Ireland.
