Danielle Vargas joined Levin & Perconti as a law clerk in August 2018 and was later hired as an associate attorney in November 2019 handling personal injury, nursing home, and medical malpractice cases.

Danielle graduated from DePaul University College of Law and received a certificate in Public Interest in addition to her law degree. During law school, she was editor-in-chief of the DePaul Journal for Social Justice. In this role, Danielle led a panel of local community members, civil rights attorneys and law enforcement officers in discussing police accountability and community safety in Chicago communities.

Additionally, as a representative for DePaul’s International Human Rights Practicum, Danielle worked alongside Chilean non-governmental organizations to promote the elimination of human rights violations in Santiago, Chile.

As a law student, Danielle obtained her Illinois Supreme Court 711 License and worked in DePaul’s Civil Rights Clinic, conducting mock depositions while handling actual civil rights complaints and learning the federal court process. Danielle also volunteered with the Law Office of the Public Defender and the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic while mentoring law students with the DePaul Student Bar Association.

While in law school, Danielle was heavily involved in several student law groups including the Latino Law Student Association, the Women’s Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She won the Diversity Scholarship, the Community Service Award, was on the Dean’s List, and received the CALI of Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade in her Trial Advocacy class.

Growing up in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, Danielle was aware of the lack of legal representation available to Latinos and other underserved communities. This early life experience drove her ambition to pursue a legal career helping people and communities in need of affordable and compassionate legal services.

A former college basketball player, Danielle is an avid professional sports fan. She also enjoys hanging out at the local animal shelter in her free time.

Margaret, Daisy and Bryan. This magnificent cohesive team led by Margaret represented us for my mom's nursing home wrongful death case. They were most patient and responded timely to many questions throughout the entire process. All demonstrated professionalism and extensive knowledge of case and state laws. Their in-depth investigative work uncovered details which were unknown to us and yet sadly confirmed our suspicions. We would recommend the Levin and Perconti Law firm and especially this team. Kathy and Ron
Mr. Levin, Mr. Perconti and the firm handled a medical malpractice suit for my family. During that time, my family and I suffered the loss of my mother. Mr. Levin and Mr. Peconti were more than just our lawyers. Words can’t really express our gratitude. My family and I will always be grateful for the compassion that they showed us. I want to thank you for what you did for my family, and for always being there for us. W.R., Medical Malpractice Client
Our deepest appreciation to the law firm of Levin & Perconti, and in particular to Margaret Battersby Black, in the handling of the lawsuit we field n behalf of our sister who sustained life-threatening injuries as a nursing home resident. Margaret’s representation, guidance, and professionalism gave us the sense that we could put our trust in Levin & Perconti and the final outcome proved that to be true. D.G., Nursing Home Client
I want to send my heartfelt thanks to John Perconti and the Levin & Perconti staff in taking our case. Not only were they so professional but also so caring and thoughtful. It was very difficult going over the facts in our mother's case but they were so compassionate and understanding and allowed us to be with them every step of the way. We were able to sit in on the depositions and we were really able to see how hard they worked on our behalf. M.R.Z., nursing home client
