Client Testimonials

Lauren E. Park is a trial attorney at Levin & Perconti whose practice focuses on medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse and neglect, and all types of personal injury. She represents patients and families throughout Illinois in cases involving surgical errors, failures to diagnose, pressure injuries, and falls in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Her work is defined by early, thorough case development and close collaboration with clients through every stage of litigation.

Lauren has recovered more than $55 million on behalf of her clients, including a $7 million medical malpractice settlement, hospital negligence resolutions of $5 million and $4.6 million, a $3 million recovery in a failure to diagnose cancer case, and numerous six-figure recoveries in pressure injury and long-term care matters. In 2024, she successfully defended a circuit court order denying a nursing home’s motion to compel arbitration before the Illinois Appellate Court, Fourth District.

Lauren previously served as Co-Chair of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Young Lawyers Division and is currently Co-Chair of the association’s Nursing Homes Committee. She also sits on the Illinois State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Council, where she contributes articles to the division’s newsletter and participates in council meetings addressing the development of young lawyers and the future of the profession. She has been named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and included on the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Emerging Lawyers list.

Lauren writes and speaks regularly on long-term care litigation. She authored the plaintiff’s chapter in IICLE’s Long-Term Care Litigation (2023), presented a national continuing legal education program on the Federal Nursing Home Reform Act, and was featured in the Illinois Bar Journal for her analysis of arbitration provisions in nursing home admission agreements.

Raised in the suburbs of Indianapolis, Lauren earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at Indiana University, an interest in how people think and communicate that continues to shape how she approaches juries, witnesses, and clients. She received her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2018, graduating with a Health Law Certificate and serving as an editor for the Annals of Health Law journal. She joined Levin & Perconti immediately after law school, first leading the firm’s intake department and moving into active litigation in 2019.
