She graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May 2018. While there, she earned a certificate in health care law, earned a place on the Dean’s List Honors, and
received the CALI Award for Highest Grade in Sales. As a law student, Lauren was senior editor of the Annals of Health Law Journal and was involved with the Health Justice Project.
Lauren previously worked for a personal injury and wrongful death law firm in Chicago, where she conducted research and drafted motions for summary judgements. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Frank Valderrama of the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago.
Additionally, Lauren volunteers at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Chicago, where she assists clients with attaining orders of protection against their abusers, attending court and directing pro se litigants.
Lauren grew up outside of Indianapolis, In., and attended Zionsville High School there. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University.
Legal and medical work are both part of Lauren’s family background: her father is a doctor and her mother and brother are lawyers. Given that background, Lauren pursued a career in health-related legal matters because she enjoys advocating for people who have been wrongly injured and hopes to bring justice to her clients.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends and family, running and discovering new vegetarian recipes.
