Justice Served – Birth Injury Verdict Upheld by Appellate Court 1st District of IL: May 2025

We’re thrilled to report that on May 7th of 2025, the appellate court in the first district of Illinois delivered a opinion that confirms and affirms our verdict that we had achieved as a team in June of 2022.

In June of 2022, we took a case to trial against Advocate Christ Hospital and nurses and doctors that were handling the labor and delivery of our client.

At the time, those caregivers did not timely deliver our client, AJ. AJ was born with extensive brain damage, and when this verdict was rendered by the jury, he was seven years old.

Now, three years later, the appellate court is affirming that the verdict of the jury was correct. We’re hopeful that with this confirmation of our verdict, the defendant’s Advocate Health and Hospitals Corporation will finally realize that justice needs to be given to our client and his family and that this family can get their settlement and they can use it to make sure that their youngster is being provided for and that he gets the resources he needs to continue to live his life in the best way possible.
