Fetal Heart Monitor Tracing: What Parents Should Know

Both Dov Apfel and I have taught lawyers around the country how to read fetal monitor tracings, how to use them in their medical malpractice cases. As a parent, You don’t have to be able to read them. That’s why you have medical providers helping you during labor, but what you should know is that there are warning signs. There are things that alert the medical providers, and so it’s important when coming to us to investigate a case that we get those field monitor tracings to look at them, see what’s there, and see what the providers should have known and responded to at the time.
