Meet Margaret Battersby Black, Illinois Medical Malpractice Lawyer

I’m the managing partner at Levin & Perconti. And I came to Chicago 22 years ago for a job out of college. And I realized pretty quickly working in the corporate world, that I needed to do something that was more meaningful, that gave me purpose in waking up every morning & was more rewarding. I came from a family of lawyers, and I recall my dad worked with victims of abuse and neglect and helped to get recoveries for injured plaintiffs in his own practice. And so, seeing the way that he was able to get justice for his clients, and hearing their stories, and even seeing them interact with my dad at some of the family parties that we would have, really inspired me to consider pursuing personal injury when I went to law school, and I’ve been doing that ever since.
