What Are the Differences Between Injuries and Defects?

So a birth defect is really something that a child was born with that’s more congenital that it was going on during the pregnancy, and those may or may not be fixable, may or may not have been diagnosed early. A birth injury is something that the baby acquires, usually during labor or during the delivery process itself. Our job is to investigate whether that injury could have been prevented had appropriate care been given earlier.
