Nicholas Emerson

Nicholas Emerson joined Levin & Perconti as an associate attorney in April 2018. He graduated from The John Marshall Law School in December 2017. At John Marshall, Nicholas was an annual recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship. He was on the Dean’s List for two semesters and was a CALI Award for his grades in Professional Responsibility and Sales Transactions.

Nicholas served as an extern for the Honorable James N. O’Hara, Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division in Chicago. As an extern, he researched and drafted weekly memoranda and orders for judicial review on legal issues involving motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment in a range of cases including product liability, medical negligence, and motor vehicle accident matters.

Prior to joining Levin & Perconti, Nicholas clerked for a law firm that focused on workers’ compensation cases. From his experience with this work, Nicholas developed an interest in personal injury and medical malpractice cases and decided to pursue a career representing those who have been wrongfully injured.

Nicholas grew up in Chicago’s Hegewisch neighborhood and attended St. Francis de Sales High School. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received his B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Justice. In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys playing softball, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
