Client Testimonials

Paul Connery has practiced in multiple areas of the law but joined Levin & Perconti for the opportunity to represent victims and their families in civil court.

Paul’s legal career started in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. After clerking throughout law school in the Traffic and Felony Trial Divisions, where Paul litigated over 100 motions and bench trials as a 7-11 Law Clerk, he started as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Appeals Division. Paul wrote over 25 appellate briefs and represented the State in three oral arguments in front of the First District Appellate Court. Paul then spent three years in the Narcotics Prosecutions Bureau, initially working in a deferred prosecution program in Maywood and was part of a team that initiated the Chicago Prostitution and Trafficking Intervention Court in Chicago. Paul then managed a felony narcotics courtroom at the 26th and California Courthouse before moving into the Special Prosecutions Division of the Narcotics Bureau.

Paul initially moved into civil litigation at a defense firm, defending products liability and toxic tort claims, before determining that he was better suited to work on behalf of Plaintiffs.

A native and current resident of Downers Grove, Paul regretfully roots for the White Sox, Bears, and Illini, but finds joy in spending time with his wife and two children. Paul is also an active member of the board of directors for Life Span, an organization that serves victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

Some of Paul's most notable case results include:

  • Life Span
