Paul Connery has practiced in multiple areas of the law but joined Levin & Perconti for the opportunity to represent victims and their families in civil court.
Most recently, Paul represented companies in complex litigation and contract disputes in a defense firm. Prior to that, Paul served in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney. In this role, Paul wrote appellate briefs and argued 3 cases in front of the Illinois Appellate Court, then worked in the Narcotics Prosecutions Bureau where he managed a felony courtroom, negotiated plea agreements, litigated felony bench and jury trials, and worked in the Special Prosecutions Unit. In addition, Paul was part of a team that planned and implemented the daily operations of deferred prosecution programs in Chicago and Maywood.
A native of Downers Grove, Paul attended the Loyola University School of Law in Chicago. While in law school, Paul served as a law clerk for the Traffic & Felony Trial Divisions of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he handled civil and criminal cases. He also researched and drafted post-conviction documentation for felony offenses.
In his spare time, Paul is an active member of the board of directors for Life Span, an organization that serves victims of domestic and sexual abuse. Paul also enjoys cheering for the Chicago White Sox with his son and trying new restaurants with his wife, Nicole.

Testimonials
During that time, my family and I suffered the loss of my mother. Mr. Levin and Mr. Peconti were more than just our lawyers. Words can’t really express our gratitude. My family and I will always be grateful for the compassion that they showed us. I want to thank you for what you did for my family, and for always being there for us.
Margaret’s representation, guidance, and professionalism gave us the sense that we could put our trust in Levin & Perconti and the final outcome proved that to be true.
Not only were they so professional but also so caring and thoughtful. It was very difficult going over the facts in our mother's case but they were so compassionate and understanding and allowed us to be with them every step of the way. We were able to sit in on the depositions and we were really able to see how hard they worked on our behalf.

They were most patient and responded timely to many questions throughout the entire process. All demonstrated professionalism and extensive knowledge of case and state laws. Their in-depth investigative work uncovered details which were unknown to us and yet sadly confirmed our suspicions. We would recommend the Levin and Perconti Law firm and especially this team.
