Bryan A. Ruggiero joined Levin & Perconti as a law clerk in November 2017 and was hired as an associate attorney November 2018. He graduated cum laude in the top 5% of his class at the John Marshall Law School in May 2018, and was on the Dean’s List for five semesters.

As a law student, Bryan was the Presiding Barrister of the Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Program, which was ranked #13 in U.S. Additionally, Bryan was awarded The Order of the Barristers, which honors exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy and brief writing. He also was inducted into Order of John Marshall for his outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, and earned the Best Overall Advocate Award at a trial advocacy competition his team took 1 st place in.

Before graduating, Bryan obtained his Illinois Supreme Court 711 License and worked in the Traffic Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where he tried 11 cases and litigated a number of other hearings. Bryan also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jorge Alonso of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois.

As a law clerk for Levin & Perconti, Bryan closely assisted attorneys during depositions and trials, frequently managing deposition preparation of expert physician and nurse witnesses. He was also responsible for drafting settlement demand letters, pleadings, mediation submissions, pre-trial memoranda, and other substantive motions, including an appellate brief for a medical malpractice case involving challenges to the validity of expert testimony.

Bryan choose a career handling personal injury cases because he relishes the chance to tirelessly advocate for people who deserve justice, especially those, like the elderly, whose voices might not otherwise be heard.

Bryan grew up in Downers Grove, Ill., and attended Downers Grove South High School. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in May 2015. In his spare time, Bryan coaches the trial advocacy team at John Marshall Law School, attends music concerts, spends time with friends and family and plays flag football.

Levin and Perconti was always there when we needed them and very quick to answer any questions. We are happy to say that Ashley Herschberger was very professional, informative, kind, and prompt when it came to our case. She was always there if we had a concern or a question. We would recommend Ashley and the law firm, Levin and Perconti, to anyone else. We would also come back with another case of our own if ever needed. The Gonzalez Family

Mr. Levin, Mr. Perconti and the firm handled a medical malpractice suit for my family. During that time, my family and I suffered the loss of my mother. Mr. Levin and Mr. Peconti were more than just our lawyers. Words can’t really express our gratitude. My family and I will always be grateful for the compassion that they showed us. I want to thank you for what you did for my family, and for always being there for us. W.R., Medical Malpractice Client

Our deepest appreciation to the law firm of Levin & Perconti, and in particular to Margaret Battersby Black, in the handling of the lawsuit we field n behalf of our sister who sustained life-threatening injuries as a nursing home resident. Margaret’s representation, guidance, and professionalism gave us the sense that we could put our trust in Levin & Perconti and the final outcome proved that to be true. D.G., Nursing Home Client

I want to send my heartfelt thanks to John Perconti and the Levin & Perconti staff in taking our case. Not only were they so professional but also so caring and thoughtful. It was very difficult going over the facts in our mother's case but they were so compassionate and understanding and allowed us to be with them every step of the way. We were able to sit in on the depositions and we were really able to see how hard they worked on our behalf. M.R.Z., nursing home client
