Jillian Babineaux joined Levin & Perconti as an associate attorney in November 2018. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May 2018, receiving a certificate in advocacy in addition to her law degree. While in law school, Jillian was co-captain for the Criminal Law Mock Trial Team, a quarter-finalist in the National Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition in 2017, and the top student in the Trial Practice II class of Spring 2018. She was also a merit scholarship recipient, on the Dean’s List, and earned the 2018 Leadership, Service, and Public Interest Recognition Award.
Before graduating law school, Jillian obtained her Illinois Supreme Court 711 License and represented children in domestic relations and child protection matters as a student attorney at Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Center. Jillian conducted witness examinations and prepared opening statements, closing arguments, and exhibits for highly contested trials.
Prior to joining Levin & Perconti, Jillian worked as a law clerk for a prominent personal injury firm in Chicago, where she researched personal injury issues ranging from tort immunity to physician-patient privilege. Additionally, she drafted appellate briefs for the First District Appellate Court of Illinois, motions to strike, and motions in limine.
Jillian chose to handle personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse and neglect cases after becoming interested in plaintiffs’ rights while serving as a felony trial law clerk at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office. With a background in felony law and advocacy, Jillian is determined to help people who have been injured and holding wrongdoers responsible for their actions.
Jillian grew up in Eunice, Louisiana, and attended Eunice High School. She attended Louisiana State University, where she earned her B.A. in Sociology, with a concentration in Criminology. In her spare time, Jillian enjoys spending time with her dog and cooking family recipes.
